About ParkLane Mattress

ParkLane offers handcrafted mattresses at FACTORY DIRECT prices, since, we make every single model and have cut out the middle man mattress store.  Our experience in the art of building a quality mattress has a long history dating back to 1921.  ParkLane is the newest division of the family owned Paramount Bedding company.  Our showroom has no frills (saving you more money) and is located on the actual production floor of our nearly 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility in beautiful Tualatin, Oregon.  All of our mattresses are hand made in Oregon, by Oregonians, for Oregonians.

Long term employees are the key to our success with the majority of the craftsmen having between 8 – 15 years of experience handcrafting mattresses.  We are committed to providing a superior sleeping product and are certified every year for quality by (UL) Underwriters Laboratory to strict ISO standards.

The biggest question customers ask:  Why haven't more people heard of ParkLane?

Quickest Answer:  We don't advertise.  We are just launching our website in 2009, 88 years after starting… We don't waste money advertising on TV or radio, we put our money into higher quality materials and sharp pricing for our products.  Most of our sales are customer referrals and through corporate HR programs.

The Long Answer:   In the early days, that is the 1920's and 1930's ParkLane was busy making cotton stuffed mattresses sold to the general public.  However after larger mattress companies moved into the region ParkLane had to diversify to survive and began making specialty mattresses for more than 40 years.  If it is a special mattress ParkLane has made it in the last 88 years.  We have made mattresses for hospitals, colleges, campgrounds, summer camps, semi-trucks, recreational vehicles, FEMA, the Coast Guard, and multiple fire departments throughout the Northwest.

For general retail mattresses, those for your home, we have been a contract or private label manufacturer for many years.  We have made mattresses for some of the largest retail mattress stores in the Northwest, these stores place their name/brand on the mattress instead of using the ParkLane name.  (similar to how most items in Costco are private labeled with the "Kirkland" brand, and not the name of the actual company that makes the product.)   We have been working with some of the largest mattress stores in Oregon, however they have started to require payment to be placed in their stores.  This is a poor policy that hurts the consumer by raising the prices of every product they show.  We are not going to pay stores to carry our product line, rather we have decided to cut out the middle man and pass ALL of those savings directly to the customer.  In the difficult financial times we have especially in Oregon it is time to LOWER prices, not raise them.
